Château Summer residence of St. Vojtěch

Summer residence of St Vojtěch was originally a mill built around 1562, at that time the so called Turk´s mill. It was changed into a residence in 1880, later into a sawmill and finally into a knitted goods factory. During the era of socialism the château was nationalized and was returned to the descendants of the original owners only after 1990 in restitution. In 2008 it was sold again as a completely deserted building. Its current owner started a very sensitive reconstruction which lasted until 2014. Since 2016 the summer residence has been run as a luxurious Frst Republic hotel with a restaurant. A few ponds and plots of the total area of approximately 30 hectares belong to the summer residence. The residence is located in the town of Počátky, approximately 25 kilometres from Jindřichův Hradec, 130 kilometres from Prague and 120 kilometres from Brno.
